Course Highlights
Level A.1.1 is the introductory stage of the elementary level (A1) in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). At this level, learners acquire the basics to understand and use familiar, everyday expressions in simple situations. They can introduce themselves, ask and answer questions about essential personal information such as name, age, marital status, profession, place of residence, home, or immediate environment, provided speech is slow and clear. Learners are able to read and understand common words, expressions, numbers, and simple information in routine contexts, as well as fill out very basic administrative forms, write a short message, or make a shopping list. In short, Level A.1.1 allows learners to interact in a very elementary way to meet concrete needs, much like a tourist with very limited knowledge of the language who requires help with essential matters.
